Position Summary:The Coordinator, Academic Support Services, will enter faculty annual assignments and activity reports into the FAIR system. Coordinate with faculty member and school director regarding assignment details, edits, and appropriate signatures before deadlines for department, college, and university.

Assist faculty human resources committee in soliciting faculty annual evaluation documents and composing digital and physical folders for review. Compile annual evaluation documents and maintain HR personnel files.

Hire and process SOA GA's and GTA's, including LCVS GTA's. Process new student hires including their background check, conditions of employment form, sending offer letters, position Job ID forms for GTA's. Review student GTA's academic eligibility for tuition waivers. Coordinate with the COB Dean's Office prior to offering tuition benefits to students. Ensure new hires' computer profiles are set up in the appropriate office space.

Attend planning meetings with the school director and College of Business administrators to plan future semesters.

Answer general admissions questions for Accounting Scholars Program (ASP) prospective students regarding the admissions process; refer students to ASP peer advisor with additional questions about the program.

Review ASP applicants' files and assist ASP director with final admissions decisions.

Register new and returning ASP students for ASP cohort sections.

Publicize ASP and help with recruiting by updating and maintaining program flyers, posting student success stories to social media, gathering information from ASP director about student activities, etc.

Update the SOA website and the Accounting graduate webpages; ensure links are not broken, the content accurate, etc.

Update social media regularly to include student success stories, job opportunities, events, career advice, general announcements, etc.

Weekly Newsletters: add content to the weekly newsletters to include upcoming accounting events from accounting student organizations (ASA, BAP, PDW), professional organization news, scholarship opportunities, career opportunities, advising updates, etc.

Review academic files of both undergraduate and graduate non-degree students interested in taking accounting courses. Grant registration permissions for eligible non-degree students.

Respond to initial non-degree student inquiries with additional information about the non-degree registration process and departmental policies and procedures. Respond to additional questions and refer students to appropriate departments when applicable.

Respond to student inquiries regarding the best path to CPA (non-degree, 2nd bachelor's, master's degree) and refer FAU students to the SOA's CPA advisor(s).

Attend SOAAA meetings and solicit content to update the SOAAA program. Edit the program to ensure accuracy and submit the program for printing before the event.

Solicit student votes for the Professor of the Year award. Manage the form and student responses.

Organize, order and pick up trophies.

Provide assistance on the day of SOAAA event.

Receive job postings from Career Center (about 2-5 per week during the fall/spring) and make sure they are distributed to students via the weekly newsletter and/or social media.

Refer employers to the Career Center to post positions to ensure legal compliance before posting.

Gather email lists for the SOA weekly newsletter and graduate outreach.

Run reports for various projects including assessment.

Maintain the SOA email and phone list.

Take notes at the SOA faculty meetings and advisory board meetings.

Minimum Qualification:Master's degree from an accredited institution and two years of university experience; or a Bachelor's degree (business or accounting preferred, but all concentrations are welcome to apply) from an accredited institution and four years of University experience required.

Must be adaptable in a fast-pasted environment and have the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, is required.
