Job Summary

This highly visible leadership position in the Retail Solutions business is responsible for Strategic Pricing and internal Business Intelligence & Analytics, reporting directly to the Director Sales Effectiveness & Strategic Deal Desk.

This role leverages their extensive business and financial expertise to create global pricing strategies and frameworks that helps Retail Solutions promote its solutions, software, hardware, and consumables to improve contribution margin / OI, and manage customer and sales business intelligence. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast paced, dynamically evolving marketplace.
Job Responsibilities

  • · Strategic Pricing – Establishes pricing strategies and controls, and evaluates pricing tools and analytics approaches, in support of market positioning and overall business strategies to ensure alignment of corporate initiatives and optimization of internal investments.

  • · Price Management – Coordinates with Solutions Management to establish and maintain reference prices (MSRP) to drive pricing guidance on products, solutions, services, integrated bundles and software to maximize revenue and margin contribution across the portfolio

  • Price Execution – Creates programs to establish pricing discipline and list-down approaches, removing cost-up from the process, and works with the Deal Management Office to support price exceptions and the creation of OpEx & CapEx models

  • Channel Pricing – Establishes pricing framework inclusive of MSRP and Partner pricing to drive pricing consistency and growth through the indirect and e-commerce channels in support of critical business priorities

  • Promotions – Evaluates and provides recommendations and approval of short-term promotional activities in support of targeted regional, channel, or product specific initiatives

  • · Consumables Pricing – Creates pricing strategies and initiatives to protect and grow the core consumables business of labels, in-store hard tags, and source tagging

  • · Enterprise Pricing Initiatives – Structure and execute periodic, targeted price leveraging opportunities to customer base in support of any enterprise priorities

  • · Transfer Price Management – Manages transfer price processes to ensure accuracy and performs reviews of internal margin uplifts to maximize benefits

  • · Business Intelligence / Global Data Warehouse – Sets strategy and leads the collection and integration of end-customer data mining efforts to unlock business insights and value in the global vertical, defining key hierarchical components to support data segmentation strategies, and provide tracking and reporting of key business metrics, trends, and performance

  • · Business Analytics – Directs analytics reporting to align approaches and messaging of internal business performance metrics. Performs detailed analyses across geographies, products, sales teams, etc. gleaning valuable business trends and insights to guide decision making

Skills/ Qualifications

Preferred Education:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration or closely related field, MBA preferred

Minimum Preference Experience:

Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience

Travel Requirements:

25%
