What You Will Be Doing
Review project documents to fully understand the scope of work
Preview bid requests
Initialize and maintain interest for various projects
Create and submit requests for information to architects/owners/general contractors
Obtain product pricing and ensure products meet project specifications
Present estimate information to staff and clients
Aid in bid formation and delivery
Update information in company database
Be familiar with project safety requirements
Perform site visits
What You Need for this Position
College Graduate or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of construction methods, materials and building codes
History of employment in the construction industry
Strong mathematical skills (both geometry and arithmetic)
Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
Strong negotiation skills
Familiarity with MS Office and other common computer software
Ability to perform quantity take-offs accurately
Enthusiasm about the construction industry
Valid drivers license
LEED, BPI and SPFA certifications a plus
