Position Purpose:

The Executive Director provides leadership, vision and direction for Holy Cross Hospital's largest service line.

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, a Member of Trinity Health, operating in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.

Position Summary:

As the Executive Director, you would provide leadership, vision and direction for Holy Cross Hospital's largest service line.

Job Description Details:

  • Develops and maintains collaborative working relationship with physicians to ensure strategic plans and medical staff planning activities are coordinated.

  • Develops and implement programs to meet the needs of the community and to place Holy Cross Hospital as the top provider of orthopedic services.

  • Effectively plans, directs, and coordinates all patient care activities within the department to assure quality care delivery consistent with the hospitals Mission and Values.

  • Monitors and controls patient care activities through ongoing systematic review of practices, problem identification, implementation of appropriate interventions and evaluation.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory and certification objectives.

  • Develops, prepares and implements and monitors an operational and capital budget, for the orthopedic service line.

  • Assists with purchasing procedures and the maintenance of equipment assigned to areas of responsibility.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors required; Master' preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a complex multi-specialty medical practice environment with emphasis on program development, financial management and performance improvement;

  • Extensive experience required in the management and direction of personnel, development and formulation of programs, goals and objectives;

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of departmental operations and techniques as well as demonstrated proficiency in communication skills.

  • Financial knowledge and strong communication skills required.
