Chewy Facilities Manager in Hollywood, Florida
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity to manage a soon-to-be-opened 100,000 square feet office space in Dania Beach, Florida. We need an organized and enthusiastic Facility Manager who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve an efficient and enjoyable work environment for our entire team. The Facilities Manager will report to the Senior Facilities Manager.
What you’ll do:
Direct and/or coordinate the maintenance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life, safety, plumbing and waste management; Monitor system performance and coordinate system repairs.
Manage facility central services such as reception, security, and cleaning; create and maintain schedules.
Liaise with landlord on major facility repairs, external maintenance matters, and tenant common services.
Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
Manage vendor and supplier relationships; negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and costs; ensure provided services conforms to specifications and agreed pricing terms.
Procure goods including furniture, equipment, office, and kitchen supplies; Stock and maintain inventory; Prepare and maintain a budget for all goods and supplies.
Space planning and allocation; Manage physical onboarding of new hires; Coordinate intra-office moves.
Manage inbound/outbound mail and communications.
Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels; Performance manage, develop, and train staff.
Provide prompt response to employee requests.
Available and on-call 24/7 for facilities related emergencies.
Perform other real estate related tasks as directed by Senior Facilities Manager.
What you’ll need:
A minimum of 5+ years working in an office management capacity.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
Relevant experience in commercial contracts, vendor selection, and experience managing service level agreements within budget.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively at all levels of the company.
Exceptional customer service focus with a strong ability to creatively solve unique problems.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, growing environment.
