Hilton Senior Manager, Destination Marketing in Miami, Florida

***Will be located at our Miami Regional Office or Home Office in Miami/Fort Lauderdale area***

The Senior Manager of Destination Marketing will be responsible for leading eCommerce and Marketing activities for a defined Regional team. Crucial to this role will be driving and executing the Marketing and eCommerce strategy in support of hotels in the defined region.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Manager of Destination Marketing will have the following responsibilities; delivering the strategy and approach for defined region, brands, customer segments and customer origin; developing processes, communication standards and tools to ensure we are driving Marketing and eCommerce activity to meet revenue and share targets for defined region while in parallel providing the appropriate level of support to our hotels; measuring and reporting on regional performance and communicating with internal and external stakeholders; effectively integrating with Destination Marketing teams; maintaining and optimizing the presence and performance of hotel-level digital outlets.

  • Responsible for not only creating a high-functioning team with a positive culture, but also helping grow and develop our future leaders; members of this team will be varying in terms of professional experience and progression and growth will be key success measures
  • Ensure that each destination has a tailored annual marketing plan, including offline and digital destination-specific campaigns throughout the year, leveraging national campaigns wherever possible and adapting to business needs as they arise
  • Develop a Marketing Plan for secondary-market hotels and Co-op properties as supported by the Director of Destination Marketing
  • Build, promote and execute hotel co-op funded destination marketing activity and perform co-op execution for assigned destinations
  • Raise and collect co-op funds for destination marketing campaigns
  • Support performance of non-contracted leisure business by being accountable for commercial channel performance to the destination (including brand.com, CRM, Drive Radio, OTA, GDS, AAA, AARP)
  • Support the optimization of digital RFPs generation for destinations
  • Cultivate and leverage key in-market relationships, partnerships and resources, including OTA market managers
  • Execute monthly review and analysis of OTA engagement
  • Conduct joint planning with hotels as appropriate to ensure tight integration, including scheduled destination-level marketing meetings covering trends, insights and performance
  • Conduct annual review of hotel-level marketing plans
  • Provide support to all hotels in the destination to optimize their online and offline hotel presence, with a particular focus on growing book direct revenue and channel mix
  • Ensure that all hotels in the destination benefit from the full range of corporate marketing and digital services, including SEO, PPC, web retailing and social media; report on destination KPIs
  • Partner with colleagues in other primary and secondary destinations to build outbound source-market activity across markets

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience and knowledge of integrated marketing strategies and Digital, Online, Media, or eCommerce experience (SEO, Paid Search) with a minimum of one (1) year of experience at the manager level or above
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience analyzing data and presenting findings to internal and/or external customers
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must live within specified market and have the ability to travel, as required

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master’s Degree
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience working in a complex corporate environment
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience analyzing data and presenting findings to internal and/or external customers
  • In-depth knowledge of direct marketing, advertising and media planning
  • Hospitality and/or Travel industry experience
  • Advanced project management experience with demonstrated results for business performance and accountability
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills
