Job Responsibilities

Seeking a talented PowerPoint Presentation and Graphics Designer to report to Golder’s Global Director of Communications to support our desire to visually communicate and reinforce critical business programs internally and externally through artful presentations. The PowerPoint Presentation Designer uses their PowerPoint expertise and a strong sense of design and brand to create high level visuals and presentations that align with the strategic and creative requirements of client deliverables. This position will work out of our corporate team headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens FL. You will be a global communications team member with internal and external customers to support across several departments throughout the world.

This position requires a creative individual with a positive attitude and the ability to prioritize multiple projects at one time. Flexibility and willingness to learn will be key traits for this position.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Flawless Execution:

  • Create custom, beautifully-designed PowerPoint presentations for Executive use for internal and external audience presentations.

  • Maximize the capabilities of PowerPoint slide transitions, animations, smart art and custom-designed graphics, as well as video integration, and an approach to avoid “Death by Bullet Points”

  • Follow Golder brand standards and style guidelines to consistently represent visual identity.

  • Receive constructive direction and translate feedback into design deliverables in order to meet creative goals and business needs

  • Creativity in solving multiple layout options within PowerPoint for a single concept

  • Design clear, uncluttered presentations that achieve optimum visual quality and performance

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the design, development, and deployment of client deliverables so they meet creative and business requirements

  • Work collaboratively with global design and communications team members and maintain inventory of promotional materials, images, and visual assets

Executive Team Support:

  • Offer key executives consultancy-type service when developing meeting and business presentations

  • Collaborate with Communications and Executive Team to interpret visions of programs and key messages into effective presentations through innovative and targeted design for colleagues and clients.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: 1-3 years of professional presentation design experience. Certificate or college education preferred but not required if you can demonstrate presentation software mastery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Creative, tenacious and thorough

  • Must thrive in a constantly evolving work environment and have excellent time management skills

  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-end presentation design skills (i.e. animation, builds, dynamic charts)

  • Sound judgment, professionalism and a positive attitude

  • Professional demeanor with high degree of comfort speaking with executives and senior leaders

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to research, proactively solve problems, and escalate for decisions in a timely manner

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Positive attitude with ability to work in tandem with senior staff

  • Photography and/or video experience a plus.
