The Senior Luxury Handbag Consultant is responsible and accountable for managing all operational and financial aspects of their retail space. To be committed to establishing and maintaining high professional standards in the areas of sales performance, customer service, visual merchandising, inventory management, retail space operations, people management and development. The Senior Luxury Handbag Consultant will demonstrate and uphold the vision of the Company and will build and grow a successful team.

Customer Experience:

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is being provided by all staff members and follows the LXR&CO Story Telling Journey

  • Support other consultants to achieve and exceed customer service goals

  • Recognize and motivate best sellers and excellent customer service while serving as a role model for both

  • Ensure clienteling activity are achieving desired target results

  • Resolve customer complaints and handle potential problem situations with customers (escalate if required)

  • Follow up and support high-priced sales Managing the business

Managing the Business:

  • Leads the sales floor and drives store results through the team

  • Ensure team communication, reinforcing that handbagconsultants are focused and consistently accountable to achieving sales goals

  • Establish, monitor and follow up on sales goals, sales plans and sales budget with District/Market Manager to optimize profit

  • Maintain optimum retail space staffing levels to deliver an exceptional customer experience while adhering to budgetary goals

  • Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives, initiatives and procedures to all staff members through organized and scheduled team meetings and email communication

  • Input, monitor, update and approve the staff planning of retail space schedules, time and attendance system

  • Manage controllable expenses for the retail space

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the business and ensure effective execution of all retail space activities

  • Drive the brand by supporting company marketing campaigns also creating retail space initiatives to drive results

  • Build strong relationships with the team, management, Head Office and Partners

  • Collaborate with corporate partners to participate in promotions and events

  • Ensure that merchandise is presented in a manner that will maximize sales and achieve optimal merchandise turn and are reflective of LXR&CO’s direction and build the brand

  • Direct inventory management and ensure retail space staff is trained with inventory management policies and procedures

  • Manage retail space shipments and ensure retail space staff is trained with product shipment policies and procedures and follow up on shipments (check-in and check-out)

  • Protect Company assets by ensuring all staff members are adhering to all Loss Prevention and operational procedures

  • Train staff and enforce LXR&CO’s cash Handling and shortage prevention procedures while ensuring shrinkage control

  • Manage retail space opening and closing procedures

  • Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the retail space

  • Oversees and ensures efficiency of all retail space daily operational procedures

  • Managing merchandise requests for the retail space

  • Implement all marketing initiatives at retail space level

  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed by staff members (end of day report, shipment confirmation, marketing confirmation)

  • Provide regular updates and reports to District/Market Manager on sales, retail space profitability, retail operations, customer service, marketing, human resources and visual merchandising.

  • Solve administrative issues regarding the POS system, POS discrepancies, inventory discrepancies, etc.

Managing the Brand:

  • Understand and clearly define the brand and brand value to all team members

  • Inspire the team to be passionate about the brand

  • Ensure all team members are aware of and fully understand all key brand messages

  • Ensure all team members deliver visual excellence and create a store environment that reflects the essence of the brand

  • Act as a brand ambassador sharing knowledge with team members

  • Drive the brand by supporting company marketing campaigns also creating local initiatives to drive results

Leading and Inspiring Others

  • Recruit, train, motivate and develop the team to optimize retail space performance to reflect the brand. Ensure that all staff have excellent product knowledge and are regularly trained on new merchandise and achieve the highest levels of customer service.

  • Mentor and develop staff and lead by example when: demonstrating product, building a sale, maintaining cleanliness standards, respecting retail space standards, following policies and procedures.

  • Provide leadership and guidance in matters of customer service, visual merchandising and product knowledge; consistently pushing for results.

  • Understanding, demonstrating and enforcing Company values

  • Assign tasks to ensure team members maintain productivity during down time

  • Set and reinforce clear and aligned expectations, performance, results and accountability with all handbag consultants

  • Responsible for administering the progressive disciplinary process in accordance with Company policy

  • Responsible for training, development of talent and performance management for the retail space

  • Upholding positive Story Teller relations that lead to engagement in the brand and the team

  • Ensure the team follow the guidelines to promote brand image

  • Promote and create a positive work environment, and effectively resolve consultive relations issues with the support of the District/Market Manager

  • Hold team accountable to optimal selling and service standards

  • Partnering with corporate partners to ensure new hires are screened, trained an approved for hire

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 1 to 3+ years of retail management experience or supervisory experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and POS system

  • Demonstrated success in driving sales by leading and motivating a team

  • Highly resourceful, flexible and a proven ability to solve problems in a timely manner

  • Outstanding customer service

  • Ability to model professional behavior

  • Demonstrates ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive the brand

  • Ability to lift and carry 20lbs

  • Organization and strong time management skills
