Position Summary:

The Athletics department is seeking an Accounting Coordinator, Boca Raton, FL.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries.

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and revenue reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations.

  • Assist with the preparation of annual reports and annual NCAA audit.

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of budget to actual reports.

  • Review and approve expense reports when required.

  • Assist with the creation of manuals and job aids for the Business Office.

  • Review expense and revenue activity on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and propose corrections if necessary.

  • Assist with the creation and modification of purchase orders.

  • Review Accounts Payable activity and work with vendors when necessary to ensure payments are accurate and up to date.

  • Interact internally with Purchasing, Cashier’s Office, Foundation and other departments.

  • Interact externally with suppliers on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Assist Associate AD Business office in other functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in accounting and two years of accounting experience (experience with balance sheet and other reconciliations, as well as journal entries) required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.
