The year 2018 has brought many new and exciting changes to LRP that are accelerating our growth, which has quickly landed us on the hunt for a Payroll/Benefits superstar to enhance our team!
This position will be administratively responsible for the accurate calculation, processing and maintenance of payroll records to achieve timely payment of salaries, commissions, benefits, deductions and various payroll taxes. This position will also be responsible for managing benefit enrollments, changes and terminations; as well as processing monthly invoices for all employee benefits.
Responsible for bi-weekly payroll preparation to include: reviewing and computing employee time cards, reviewing pay data entered by HR, ensuring accuracy of payroll prior to submitting for approval.
Contact department supervisors for any discrepancies or errors.
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, PTO time, and insurance and payroll deductions.
Ensure that wage deductions, deposits, adjustments and garnishments are applied appropriately.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Responsible for processing enrollments, changes and terminations for all benefit plans in a timely and accurate fashion.
Reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely monthly payments for medical, dental, vision and all voluntary benefits.
Coordinate all changes, new enrollments and withdrawals with third party 401(k) plan administrator.
Perform other related HR duties as assigned.
Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field of study.
3+ years' experience in basic HR to include: administrating / processing payroll, benefits administration and reconciling deductions for a growing organization.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now (payroll), HRIS and self-service systems; advanced computer skills to include Excel.
A high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
Ability to interact and communicate with all levels within the organization.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal payroll and benefit related tax regulations, legislation and reporting requirements.
Knowledge of employment laws, especially those pertaining to compensation and benefits (COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, etc.)
Excellent analytical, judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to change.
Experience with Kronos (time & attendance).
Multi-State experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
