RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Data Warehouse / BI team member, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent and high quality data management services (acquisition, merging, validation, visualization and data mining analysis) to the Otis North American lines of business. You are the primary data domain expert and will be partnering with our technology teams, analytical consultants and data scientists across various initiatives. You are also responsible to ensuring the data assets and architecture aids us in achieving our strategic goals. You will partner with fellow IT team members in evaluating and leveraging the latest Azure based “big data” technology offerings to analyze and solve business problems.

Qualification:

  • 10 + years in manipulating, storing and preparing data for use in data analysis processes

  • Understanding utilizing Web Services and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

  • Expertise in building SQL queries, databases and data warehouses

  • Experience utilizing cloud based services (preferably Microsoft Azure)

  • Experience working with complex and large volumes of heterogeneous data, and database applications

  • Experience ensuring data quality across multiple datasets used for analytical and transactional purposes

  • Demonstrated ability to champion projects from beginning through implementation, meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated strong leadership and partnering skills

  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skill

  • Equally effective as a direct contributor and project lead in response to business needs

  • Experience sourcing data from legacy Mainframe systems

  • Experience with nosql data storage

  • Experience implementing strong encryption for data storage solutions

  • Experience with online CRM systems, Microsoft Dynamics preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, HDInsights, SQL Data Warehouse, Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Hive, Pig, and/or Spark

  • Experience in Machine Learning

  • Experience with products such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc.

  • Experience integration with 3rd party API etc.

  • Experience working with external vendors and clients

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
